La Paz, Honduras 2015

This was our first fieldwork with Fair Trade USA and we couldn't have a better association to start to work with. COMSA is a reference cooperative for smallholders in Honduras and outside. They started with 60 associates and today they have more than 1200. They promote organic practices and integral production, taking care of the soil and mountain microorganisms. Their programs pay special attention to children cognitive development. In terms of the costs analysis project this was an interesting case since their associates provide coffee in cherry and dry parchment.
